Alisdair Batchem visited Seaforde recently and met the present owner of Seaforde House, Mark Forde.
He also visited Cumran House, whose present owner was most friendly and helpful. 
She sent Alisdair  a letter a few days after he arrived back home giving him some extra information.
Alisdair also visited Cumran farm which had been owned last century by William Dorrian, Bishop Patrick Dorrian's brother.
Alisdair got in touch with Father McGee in Seaforde who was most helpful, photocopying records for him and verifying that certain spellings of the name related to our present family.
Much of Alisdair's time was spent in the various cemetaries photographing headstones.
Hopefully some of this research will arrive in time for the next Newsletter, and it will also be posted here on site.
